Sorrier For Plex Win the Summer 2022 Championship
The World Doom League Summer 2022 season wrapped up with the final everyone was hoping for: #1 Sorrier For Plex vs. #2 Best Ever. Two teams that dominated the regular season collided for the title — and the showdown did not disappoint.
This was as even as it gets. Sorrier For Plex entered the playoffs as the top seed, while Best Ever held the second slot after a strong campaign of their own. Both rosters were stacked with veteran talent, tactical depth, and the kind of chemistry that defines champions.
When the action kicked off, Plex immediately showed why they finished the regular season in the #1 spot. Their rotations were crisp, their flag runs decisive, and their defense impenetrable. Best Ever fought hard to break through, but each map tilted just enough in Plex’s favor. In the end, Sorrier For Plex closed out a clean 3–0 sweep, stamping their authority on the league.
With the victory, Sorrier For Plex are your Summer 2022 WDL Champions. A season of consistency, capped by a flawless finals performance, secures their place in league history. Best Ever, meanwhile, proved themselves a worthy runner-up, pushing Plex in every match and living up to the billing of a true #2 seed.
As another unforgettable season comes to a close, we want to thank all the players, staff, and fans who keep the WDL thriving. The passion and energy on display this summer remind us why Doom CTF continues to stand the test of time. Until then, rest up, sharpen those skills, and get ready. We’ll see you in 2025 for the next WDL season!
WDL S2022 Playoffs Postponed
The playoffs are here! Well, sort of. After a great regular season, we are postponing the start of the playoffs by one week due to extraordinary circumstances affecting some of our remaining teams. All playoff rounds will be pushed back by one week and then be played as usual. The quarterfinals will run during the week of September, 12-18. Stay tuned for more information.

Summer 2021 Champions: Onslaught!
First of all, congratulations to the champions of the Summer 2021 season: Onslaught! 🏆
Thank you to all the players, staff and contributors who make, made and will continue to make the World Doom League the pinnacle of competitive CTF! Summer 2021 was one of, if not the most competitive seasons we've had, with no teams out of playoffs until the final week of regulation, and a blistering set of playoffs that were a spectacle to watch and broadcast!
Great work to the ten phenomenal teams and their captains for producing a competitive and spectacular season to observe, bet on, and play in: Onslaught, Rip and Tear, Super Chargers, Dosu And Friends, Electric Bills, Wasted Potential, Techno Vikings, Da Main, Sexual Panthers, and the Deimos Patriots!
We might be done for the season, but look for the Private CTF sessions that take place here if you're looking to keep those senses and reflexes sharp, or even want to refine them in advance of your own inclusion into the league! Remember, the best way to get on a team is to participate in Private CTF and get noticed!

This Semi-Finals saw two powerful teams advance: Onslaught defeated Dosu and Friends, while Rip and Tear vanquished the Super Chargers!

Semi-Finals are here!!
The what finals? The Semi-Finals?! That's right, boys, girls, doomguys and doomgals, only three games remain in the Summer 2021 season, and boy is it gonna be wild from here on out!
The Quarter-Finals saw teams Onslaught, Super Chargers, and Rip and Tear move on over their lower seed opponents, but in a surprise upset, Dosu and Friends defeated Da Main to move on to face their new opponents, Onslaught! Beware, however, for Onslaught set league history by performing the first shutout victory in the playoffs, wiping out Wasted Potential fifteen flags to zip! Missed those games? Well, we got em on our YouTube!

First week of the Summer 2021 Playoffs!!
The quarter-finals round is upon us! This season, from weeks one through five, saw a tremendous amount of competition! It wasn't until the end of the fifth and final week that we knew who was going to be in playoffs, and what their seeds were going to be! While we wave goodbye to the Deimos Patriots and Sexual Panthers, these teams provided a stellar performance for the duration of the regular season!
As of this writing, these remaining eight teams are matching up in these exciting four matchups:
Onslaught[2] v Wasted Potential[7] - Sat, Jul 10 @ 8:00P EDT
Super Chargers[1] v Techno Vikings[8] - Sun, Jul 11 @ 8:00P EDT
Da Main[3] v Dosu and Friends[6]- Sun, Jul 11 @ 9:15P EDT
Rip And Tear[4] v Electric Bills[5] - Mon, Jul 12 @ 8:00P EDT
Each of these higher seeds will be playing their matches on their own homefield for rounds one and two, then rounds three and four will be played on the lower seed's homefield, then alternate homefields back and forth until a victor is determined in this best of five!
